A study by California Polytechnic State University and Utah State University has shown that being in a natural environment, surrounded by natural sounds such as birdsong, can enhance feelings of well-being and promote and improve mental health.
The results of the study showed that listening to the sound of small birds chirping in a natural environment for just 7 to 10 minutes brought a sense of biodiversity and had a positive impact on people's mental health and psychological recovery as well as on the generation and enhancement of well-being.
